Graduate Studies Overview
The doctoral schools “Molecular Biology and Biochemistry” (University of Graz) and ”Molecular Biosciences and Biotechnology” (Graz University of Technology) cooperate within the interuniversity program NAWI-GRAZ.
The Molecular Biosciences program, funded 2007, welcomes students from a variety of educational backgrounds. The program provides a wide choice of advisors encompassing a broad spectrum of interdisciplinary interests and reach objectives. Students select course work from variety of disciplines.

The doctoral program connects active members of different doctoral schools within Graz. The aim of the program is to link research activities and accompanying training activities for young researchers in our core research areas of lipid metabolism, ageing, infection biology and bio-catalysis.
The doctoral school applies international standards for doctoral degrees in the molecular biosciences: International PhD standards (EN)
The doctoral program language is English. Knowledge of German is not required to register for doctoral studies or to complete the doctoral degree requirements in the natural sciences.
