The general requirements for completing the doctoral degree at the UG are the same for all fields of the natural sciences.
The minimum requirements for coursework to be completed successfully are:
Compulsory within the primary field of study | 12 semester hours

Starting with the term 2019/20 all lectures offered by the Doctoral School were adapted. Therefore almost all course titles and course IDs have changed.
All courses assigned to our doctoral school can be found in UGonline with the ID number 647.6*
In addition, you can visit courses of other Doctoral Schools as well as courses of the Medical School or the University of Technology. Be aware that these courses might not be accepted automatically and that you will have to get them approved by the KFU.

During the 4 mandatory courses students are expected to report research results at least once in form of a seminar and at least twice as a poster presentation.
The Dissertantenseminar is better known as "DocDay" . All students are welcome to organize a DocDay and invite guest speakers!
Doctoral Academy
The Doctoral Academy of the Univerit of Graz also offers courses outside the curricula.

In addtion it also awards a Transferable Skills Certificate to highly motivated candidates.
