Christoph Heier

Received his Doctorate Degree "Sub auspiciis", which is the highest award for academic studies in Austria. (2015) For his outstanding achievements during his education and studies Christoph Heier received his Doctorate Degree in the presence of the Austrian President.

Jörg Lichtenegger

Received a 24.000 € Scholarship of the "Young Scientists Fund" of the University Council of the Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz which is awarded for highly qualified young scientists. (2015)

Gustav Oberdorfer

Received the ASCINA-Award of the BMWFW (Bundesministerium für Wissenschaft Forschung und Wirtschaft) which is awarded for excellent publications elaborated during a stay at a North American research institute. (2015) 

Georg Schneditz

Received a Marie Curie Fellowship at Homerton College, Cambridge University, Department of Medicine, UK. (2015) 

Georg Schneditz

In 2015 Schneditz and the workgroup of Ellen Zechner, in association with the TU and the Medical University,  received the 4.000 € Wewalka Prize for revealing a molecular mechanism causing antibiotic-associated colitis. 

Srinivasan Rengachari

Received a three year post-doc fellowship from the French Cancer Foundation, "Foundation ARC pour la recherche sur le Cancer". (2014)

Georg Schneditz

For his work on mechanisms leading to antibiotic-associated colitis Georg Schneditz was granted the 10.000 € Top Abstract by the UEG (United European Gastroenterology). Every year the 5 best abstracts submitted to UEG Week are awarded with this prize. (2013)

Horst Lechner

Received a Poster award at the MECP12 (Multistep Enzyme-Catalyzed Processes), Graz (2012)

Irina Cornaciu

Received a three year post-doc fellowship from the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions - COFUND grants within the EMBL (European Molecular Biology Laboratory) Interdisciplinary Postdoc (EIPOD) 2012
